Sharma’s Taco Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • Sharma’s Sodium Free Taco Seasoning 
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Fresh Green Onions
  • 2 lbs Ground beef
  • Small bag of frozen corn
  • 3 Large cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 1 can Rotel
  • 1 bag of Frito’s
  • Sour Cream or Plain Greek Yogurt
  • Shredded Mexican Cheese

Preparation

  1. In a crockpot, add the 3 cans of crushed tomatoes, 1 can of Rotel (don’t drain), bag of frozen corn, and 2 Tbs of Sharma’s Sodium-Free Taco Seasoning. Turn on high while preparing other items.
  2. Cut up cilantro and green onions. I don’t measure this, add what you would like but keep some chopped green onions as a topping for later. I typically use the entire “bunch” of each!
  3. Brown ground beef, drain, and rinse. Then add 2 Tbs of water and 2-4 Tbs of Sharma’s Sodium- Free Taco Seasoning. Chop very finely and add to crockpot. I like to use my Pampered Chef Mix & Chop tool for this.
  4. Let everything cook on high for 4 hours. Serve in a bowl and top with Fritos, Cheese, and Sour Cream/Greek Yogurt. 

Health Tip!

For a low sodium diet, use green chili’s instead of Rotel, and get low sodium black beans.
